Sam attends Physical Therapy monthly and in our last visit, we learned that he is quickly closing the gap in his development; more and more of his skills are inline with that of a 13 mo. old versus an 11 month old. About a month ago after Scott gave him some food we swore he said thank you and he confirmed it with the next serving of blueberries! Speaking of food: this boy eats like a sumo wrestler...anything that is in front of him goes in his mouth: tofu, spicy taco meat, blueberries, salmon, brocolli...the only food that he has not fallen in love with is peas. Can't blame him.
Sam also is benefitting from the constant love of his sister. Catherine has been amazing this last year. She is so sweet and loving toward Sam and sometimes the only one that can make him laugh and make him stop crying. She teaches him things, shares toys and is always looking out for him when he is in danger (her words). Each morning they are both so happy to see one another. This morning they were both on Sarah's lap and they embraced and gave one another a big kiss. It is cute and it really also is the purest love that we have ever witnessed.
Both Catherine and Sam love their schools, teachers and friends. Catherine has started gymnastics on Saturdays and also is a regular patron of the library. Sam loves playing ball and his new favorite toy is his shovel.
Our goal is to be more attentive to our dear blog and post regular updates. Thanks for your patience! ~Scott & Sarah
